A character modelled on members of OASIS and SUPERGRASS is set to appear in the British release of movie BEDAZZLED - unlike the American version.

The character was cut from the Stateside version of the ELIZABETH HURLEY comedy when test audiences gave it the thumbs-down - causing director HAROLD RAMIS to omit it.

But the film's star, BRENDAN FRASER, admits the rock star was his favourite character in the movie. THE MUMMY actor describes the character as "a rocker who was a cross between Oasis and the guy from Supergrass." He explains, "I went on stage before thousands of extras in a stadium in downtown L.A., lip-syncing a song written by the guy from METALLICA." (JM/WNWPO/CPT)
