American Hustle has won three awards at the Golden Globes including best film comedy or musical.
Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey and Bryan Cranston were among the stars recognised for their work at the 71st annual event, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave (2013) picked up the top honour of the night, winning best film drama.
However, it was the only award the movie picked up, after going into the evening with seven nominations.
Both McQueen and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Lupita Nyong'o had received nods but came away empty-handed.
McQueen said he was "a little bit in shock" and thanked his wife for finding the book by Solomon Northup, on which the film was based.
Elsewhere, the acting talent of Dallas Buyers Club (2013) bagged two awards, which went to Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto in the Best Actor (Drama) and Best Supporting Actor categories respectively.
