Hollywood hunk BRAD PITT jetted into Los Angeles Airport today - and promptly lit a cigarette.

The MEET JOE BLACK heart-throb, who flew in from London where he'd been filming thriller SPY GAME with ROBERT REDFORD, admitted he found the 11-hour flight a nicotine-free nightmare.

He says, "Twelve hours without a cigarette and I'm just gasping for one", he confided, before making a dash for the airport carpark where he was free to light up a cigarette.

Pitt, who married FRIENDS star JENNIFER ANISTON in a lavish Malibu, America ceremony last summer (JUL00), has been separated from her for much of the past few weeks, and admits he finds it difficult to fit his new wife into his fast-moving schedule.

The actor, who confesses he's something of a workaholic, recently said, "Distance is a beast. I'm still a little selfish." (LE/WN/CPT)
