MATT DAMON was threatened with the sack on the first day of shooting ALL THE PRETTY HORSES - if he got out of line.
The movie hunk came face to face with director BILLY BOB THORNTON, who let him know exactly what the rules of his sets are.
Damon says, "He's got the same crew on every film and he has this one rule on the set - no fighting. "Fights are very common on sets and if you fight on one of his you're fired no matter who you are. I had to walk away a couple of times, but he's a miracle to work with, truly amazing." (KL/WNV/CPT)
