Halle Berry Eyes Role Opposite Travolta.
UPDATE - HALLE BERRY is in negotiations to star opposite JOHN TRAVOLTA and HUGH JACKMAN in SWORDFISH, for producers JOEL SILVER and JONATHAN KRANE.
Sources said Berry is poised to receive an estimated $2.5 million (£1.66million) for the starring turn - her highest payday yet.
The DOMINIC SENA-directed project also would reunite Berry with her X-MEN co-star Jackman, who stars as a computer hacker.
Swordfish, written by SKIP WOODS, is about a charismatic spy (Travolta) hired by the CIA to enlist a computer hacker (Jackman) recently released from prison to help steal $6 billion (£4bn) in unused government funds.
In exchange, the hacker will regain custody of his daughter and start a new life. Berry would play a woman who works for Travolta but is really an undercover agent.
