US supermodel Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and her heartthrob television star husband John Stamos have decided to end their five and a half year marriage, the entertainment press reported today.
The stunning model-actress and her husband, who starred in the 1980s US television series Full House, said the split was amicable.

"They have asked that the media please respect their privacy regarding this situation during this difficult time," said a statement from publicist Lewis Kay.

The pair met in 1994, while Romijn was modelling lingerie for Victoria's Secret. They married at a star-studded ceremony in September 1998.

Romijn has recently taken roles in Hollywood films including the comic book-inspired X-Men movies and will next appear on the big screen opposite John Travolta in The Punisher, which opens next week.
