Kevin Spacey is planning to produce and play a supporting role in a new thriller set in a Las Vegas casino.
MGM has acquired rights to Ben Mezrich bestseller Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions.
The movie, which has been likened to Ocean's Eleven, will be produced by Spacey's company Trigger Street Productions.
It is the true story of a group of students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.
Kevin will play the MIT teacher who is the ringleader,
Production on the film will begin before the end of 2003.
