George Miller, who co-wrote the first three Mad Max films, has penned a fourth. He is said to want Mel Gibson to reprise his role as the post-apocalyptic road hog, and Mel recently told press in Australia that he is keen to be involved. 'I want to and George wants to, but there's a lot of wrangling and weirdness that I can't even begin to explain in the business world of studio financing,' he said, obliquely. One sticking point may well be Mel's salary, which will no doubt be much larger than it was when he made Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985).
