Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans are both set to star in the action-thriller ‘The Gray Man’ with Joe and Anthony Russo at the helm.
The film which is commissioned by Netflix is said to be the streaming giants most financially ambition movie to date with a budget upward of $200 million.
Based on Mark Greaney's 2009 novel, which has spawned several follow-ups focused on burned CIA agent-turned hired killer Court Gentry (Gosling). The idea here is a deadly duel between killers as Gentry is hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA. "The movie is a real mano a mano between those two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA, in what it can be, and what it can do," Anthony Russo tells Deadline. "For those who were fans of Captain America: Winter Soldier, this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That’s what this movie really means for us."
