Chris Evans casts doubt on acting retirement.

After revealing that he'll be walking away from Captain America by 2017, it looks as though Chris Evans isn't planning to turn his back on acting completely…

It's been a pretty tough time for Captain America fans after Chris Evans recently revealed that he'd be finished with the role sooner rather than later. But while he's eager to pursue a directing career, it looks as though his Marvel contract will keep him in the game for a few years yet… and he isn't quite ready to turn his back on acting for good.

In an interview with ABC News, 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' star, Chris Evans, explained that he might not be stepping away from acting entirely…

"By no means am I planning on retiring," he said. "It's kind of a silly statement. But I certainly am going to try and focus a bit more on directing at this point."

After directing his first movie '1:30 Train' it certainly looks as though Evans is keen to get behind the camera rather than parading around in front of it. But while it seems he's keen to start down the road to being a well-known director, he's not about to give up his acting career. Apparently.
