Academy Award-winning actor Ke Huy Quan is set to star in a new action movie from the team behind Deadpool 2.

Ke Huy Quan will play the lead role in With Love, an action move from David Leitch and Kelly McCormick's 87North. The film will be directed by Jonathan?Eusebio and written by Josh Stoddard and Matthew Murray, though details on the picture’s plot are currently scarce.

Very little is yet known of the film's plot or which character Quan will be playing in With Love. The project is reportedly being written by Luke Passmore from an original script by Josh Stoddard, known for writing the martial arts Max series Warrior, and Matthew Murray. Leitch and McCormick are set to produce via their 87North banner with Guy Danella. Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production Development, Jay Polidoro, and Director of Production Development, Tony Ducret will oversee the production as well.

Quan's memorable action-packed role in Everything Everywhere All at Once was not the actor's first foray into martial arts and action in a film project. Over 20 years ago, Quan also served as the assistant fight choreographer and stunt rigger on Marvel's first blockbuster comic book film X-Men back in 2000. Most fans will also remember Quan for his fan-favorite performances in the iconic films Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom as Short Round and as Data in The Goonies. More recently, he also appeared in another Disney+ series, American Born Chinese, alongside his other Everything Everywhere All at Once cast members Stephanie Hsu and Michelle Yeoh.
