Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe breaks the silence on the rumors of him playing Wolverine in the MCU after appearing buffed up on screen.

During a recent lie detector test with Vanity Fair, Radcliffe addressed fan-fueled speculation he has been putting on muscle to take over the role of Wolverine, which Hugh Jackman will reprise in Deadpool 3. Linked to Marvel's long-planned X-Men movie and Deadpool 3, Radcliffe hilariously dismissed the possibility when asked why he bulked up. When asked if he was getting buff for no reason, he said, "No. Yes! laughs I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to...you've seen my parents, they're like insane fitness people. So that's just been passed on...but no, no Wolverine. Flattered, but no."

Rumors involving Radcliffe and the role of Wolverine have been floating around online for years. Since Disney bought Fox and the film rights for the X-Men came to Marvel Studios, Radcliffe has been a popular fancast for the beloved mutant hero.

Back in 2022, Radcliffe himself dispelled the rumors at the time. While speaking with ComicBook, he said, "I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like ‘Wolverine’s actually short in the comic books, you should get like a short guy to do it!’ But I don’t see myself, I don’t see them going from Hugh Jackman to me. But who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel."
