Hollywood will be closely watching the PROMISES rehabilitation clinic this week (ends12AUG01) - to see if BEN AFFLECK emerges to attend a film premiere.
The troubled PEARL HARBOR (2001) actor, who checked into the exclusive clinic two weeks ago (30JUL-5AUG01) for alcohol abuse, stars as himself and as cartoonist HOLDEN McNEIL in JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK (2001).
The film, directed by Affleck's pal KEVIN SMITH, who have worked on a number of movie together such as CHASING AMY (1997) and DOGMA (1999) will premiere in Los Angeles tomorrow (15AUG01).
Affleck has been seen out locally near the clinic with a chaperon since he admitted himself for treatment, however speculation has started on whether the brooding hunk will make an appearance at the showing. (ES/WNWDN)
