KEANU REEVES was forced to buy a fan's sneakers when he found himself shoeless in Los Angeles - and hungry.

The hippie actor turned up at trendy LA MEXICAN restaurant last week (ends23MAR01) but was told he wouldn't be allowed in unless he had footwear on. So he promptly paid a fan $100 (£66) to hand over his sneakers. (KL/NE/RP)
