Lionsgate Lands Next Guy Ritchie Movie Starring Henry Cavill & Jake Gyllenhaal.

Lionsgate has acquired domestic distribution rights to filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s untitled next film, which is currently in production in Spain. Principal photography wraps this week after the project secured an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, with a cast that includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Ezia González.

Lionsgate had previously picked up domestic rights to Ritchie’s upcoming World War II movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

The new action film sees Ritchie reteaming with Jake Gyllenhaal , who played the lead role in Ritchie’s recent war movie The Covenant, as well as Henry Cavill and Eiza González, both of whom star in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but a source who knows the project told us it has an element of The Expendables to it.

Gyllenhaal will next be seen in the Apple TV+ mini-series "Presumed Innocent", and Doug Liman’s reimagining of "Road House". Cavill will be seen in "Argylle" in February whilst Gonzalez will appear in Netflix sci-fi series "Three Body Problem".
