Golden Brooks came to the fore in the Showtime hit series "Linc's" created by Tim Reid and directed by Debbie Allen, on which she starred as a struggling single mother with a dream of doing better for herself and her son. Not only is she a gained modem dancer, singer and accomplished actor, Brooks also earned her Masters degree in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and is currently writing a book of poetry to be published soon. Upcoming projects include the science fiction thriller Imposter for Miramax starring Madeline Stowe, Vincent D'Onofrio and Gary Sinise to be released in the summer of 2000.
Brooks holds a degree in sociology from UC Berkeley.
