As a production supervision executive at Miramax Films, Scott Shiffman oversaw production of nearly 30 films. Among these were Wes Craven’s Scream, David O. Russell’s Flirting Disaster, and Michael Hoffman’s Academy Award-winning Restoration.
The suburban Chicago native began his career working as a production assistant on the NBC daytime drama Santa Barbara. After working on other (filmed) television series, he focused on production accounting, serving as key production accountant on such films as Barry Primus’ Mistress (produced by and costarring Robert De Niro) and Fran Rubel Kuzui’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer (starring Kristy Swanson).
Shiffman next worked as manager of production accounting at ITC, supervising finance and production of such films as Rusty Cundieff’s Fear of a Black Hat; and senior auditor at Disney’s Buena Vista Pictures division, before joining Miramax Films.
