Daniel Craig's mum says he will be unveiled as the new James Bond.
Carol Blond let the cat out of the bag ahead of the official announcement, says the Mirror.
She said: "We're thrilled to bits. This has come at a very good time in his career. He has worked hard all his life and this will be his most famous part."
Carol reckons 37-year-old Daniel will have no trouble filling the shoes of former 007 Pierce Brosnan.
Speaking at her home in Liverpool, she added: "It will be life-changing, but I think he is old enough and experienced enough to handle it."
Daniel, 37, star of gangster movie Layer Cake, has been tipped as the new Bond for months.
He is understood to be the choice of Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, though director Martin Campbell championed 22-year-old Henry Cavill.
The Cheshire-born actor, who has an ex-wife and 12-year-old daughter living in London, is set to star in the latest big screen version of Casino Royale.
