LATEST: Devastated FRIENDS star COURTeNEY COX Arquette has confirmed she has lost the baby she was expecting.

The beautiful brunette suffered a miscarriage just three months into the pregnancy and is now recovering at home in California, America.

Her husband, SCREAM (1996) actor DAVID ARQUETTE, is by her side as the grief-stricken couple try to come to terms with their loss.

Although the baby was not planned, the pair were said to be "ecstatic" at the prospect of becoming parents.

A friend says, "This is very sad news and they are both very upset. David is being very supportive and helping Courtney cope with her loss. "
