Harry Styles has officially signed on for one of the leading roles in actress-director Olivia Wilde's forthcoming period thriller film "Don't Worry, Darling".
The former One Direction star will be taking over the role originally held by Shia Labeouf, who had to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Olivia Wilde is directing the film which will be reportedly adapted from a screenplay by Katie Silberman.
Not much is known about Don’t Worry, Darling, other than the fact it takes place in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert. New Line Cinema reportedly things highly of the project and calls it a high priority after landing the rights for the film in a heated bidding war.
This is Olivia Wilde's second film after her critically-beloved hit Booksmart (2019), which landed her an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. Katie Silberman wrote the screenplay for Don't Worry, Darling based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke, who will also executive produce alongside Catherine Hardwicke.
This will be Harry's second movie, the first being Christopher Nolan's critically-acclaimed World War II flick Dunkirk.
