Green Mile, The (1999) - Details
The arrival of John Coffey to Death Row causes quite a stir. Not only has he been convicted of slaughtering two baby girls, he also happens to be seven feet tall and has the ability to heal people - in a laying-on of hands kind of way. After healing a Death Row warden's urinary infection and reviving a pet mouse, the man in charge of Death Row becomes convinced that Coffey MUST be innocent. The Green Mile refers to Death Row itself - called "the mile" and painted lime green.
