Olsen: 'Godzilla Was More Technical Than I Thought'.

Elizabeth Olsen has revealed her surprise at the technical aspects of making ‘Godzilla’.

The actress, who plays Elle Brody, a nurse and the wife of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s U.S. Navy officer in Gareth Edwards’ big-budget remake of the Japanese classic, said she didn’t realise how different working on the blockbuster would be.

"I got someone a megaphone saying 'Monster 1, Monster 2' and then 'Lizzie' and then you turn around and you're like 'Oh that's my action shot’, she explained during an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. “It was more technical than I thought."

Olsen went on to dismiss naysayers’ concerns about the remake, insisting that the film returns to the roots of Toho’s original and much-loved series.

"This film really roots it back to the reason it was created," she said.

"A very much so political voice for Japan in 1934 post World War 2 and it's going back to that kind of conspiracy theory. But it's so much fun and I get to play a mother and military wife and a nurse - being a good caretaker."
