Lindsay heading straight to rehab

Lindsay Lohan has been released from prison after serving just 13 days of her 90-day sentence, according to celebrity website TMZ.

The star served less than two weeks of her sentence at Lynwood Correctional Facility in California.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, told TMZ that Miss Lohan was released at 1.35am.

A judge had ordered the Mean Girls star - who had been locked up for breaching probation for drunk-driving - to report for her 90-day stint within 48 hours of being released in LA.

While early reports had the 24-year-old checking into the Morningside Recovery in coastal Orange County, about an hour south of Los Angeles, the actress was later said to be headed to the UCLA Medical Center for intense counseling for both substance abuse and emotional issues. There has been no confirmation from the facility, the D.A. Or Lohan's camp.

"The judge's order will dictate the manner in which she will be released and to whom, and I have not seen that," attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told E! News earlier Sunday after paying Lohan a visit in jail. "She is doing fine...She is ready."

Holley, who despite originally trying to step down as Lohan's counsel ended up being quite the vigilant legal eagle, has repeatedly argued that her client needed time with family upon her release, but Revel was ultimately too concerned that Lohan would relapse if left to her own devices.

Lohan's get-out-of-jail time had already been pretty well established by Los Angeles Sheriff's Department officials, so a horde of cameras, news crews and assorted looky-loos were there to try to in vain to capture the beleaguered starlet upon her release in a free-for-all reminiscent of when a certain socialite passed through those same doors several years ago.

If Lindsay enters rehab this week she should be out to work on Inferno, a film about Deep Throat porn star LINDA LOVELACE, in November.
