Sienna's pals say the couple made the decision last week and there's little chance of a reconciliation.

"It's a mutual decision," a close pal told People magazine. "They have definitely come to the end of the road."

"They have tried to make it work but it failed. They're both very upset but think it's for the best."

Jude and Sienna's spokespeople have so far refused to comment, but the pair's friends say the split is down to "fundamental differences" in their approaches to life.

At 24, Sienna is nine years younger than Jude, 33 - who has three children with his former wife Sadie Frost.

"They are the centre of his life - and that has been quite hard for Sienna to cope with," a friend of Sienna's told the Daily Mirror.

Jude and Sienna split last year after an affair with his children's nanny was exposed. They reconciled, but broke up again after unconfirmed reports that linked Sienna to yummy Bond star Daniel Craig.

They rekindled their romance earlier this year, and friends and family had hoped that the worst was behind them…
