Hank's Stranded At The Top Of The Movie Charts
TOM HANKS' modern day ROBINSON CRUSOE movie, CAST AWAY, has topped the American box office with an opening weekend take of $40.5 million (£27 million) - the biggest Christmas opening ever.
The record was previously held by ROBIN WILLIAMS' PATCH ADAMS in 1998, which opened with a $25.3 million (£16.8 million).
