Biography

Costume designer ELISABETH TAVERNIER received a 1999 Cesar nomination for her work on "Place Vendome."

Tavernier has designed film costumes for many of France's best known stars, including Catherine Deneuve with whom she has worked on the actress' last three films: "Place Vendome," "Genealogies d'un Crime" and "Les Voleurs." Tavernier has also worked with Gerard Depardieu on "La Machine," Miou-Miou on "Nettoyage a Sec" and Juliette Binoche on the television special "Women & Men 2: In Love There Are No Rules."

Her other feature film credits include, "Alice et Martin," "Les Roseaux Sauvages," "Grosse Fatigue," "The Favour, the Watch and the Very Big Fish, " Tatie Danielle," "Monsieur Hire," "Waiting for the Moon" and "Betty Blue."
