Biography

Matt SchulzeMatt Schulze was recently selected by GQ Magazine as one of the top 10 men to watch in Hollywood. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and studied guitar at the prestigious Atlanta Institute of Music. He moved back to St. Louis at age 17 and taught guitar for a year. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to be a studio musician, but ended up doing both acting and modeling. He worked as a Levi’s model on television, in print, and on the runway, both in the United States and in Europe, before deciding to focus his attention on acting. After guest appearances in several TV shows, including Charmed, Matt landed his first feature film role as the vampire Crease in Blade. Since then, he has had leading roles in two independent films (Dementia and Downward Angel) and major supporting roles in The Fast and the Furious and Blade 2. Matt did most of his own stuntwork for The Fast and the Furious, including the climactic hijacking scene, and as a result received an honorary membership in Stunts Unlimited. He writes music and poetry, and he is an enthusiastic fan of abstract art.
