As head of production at Industry Entertainment, JULIA CHASMAN, oversees all production and development for the busy management/production company.
Chasman has four films ready for release in the next six months. Quills, starring Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet, Michael Caine and Joaquin Phoenix was directed by Phil Kaufman, and was produced by Chasman with Nick Wechsler and Peter Kaufman.
Slated for a January release, The Invisible Circus stars Jordana Brewster, Christopher Eccleston and Cameron Diaz in a powerful dramatic role. Filmed on location in France and Portugal, the film was written and directed by Adam Brooks, based on the popular novel by Jennifer Egan, and produced by Chasman and Nick Wechsler.
Chasman also served as Executive Producer on the upcoming romantic comedy A Certain Age starring Andie McDowell, and written and directed by John McKay.
Chasman started her producing career in 1989 with the comedy Shag, starring Phoebe Cates and Bridget Fonda, and written by Robin Swicord. Her second collaboration with Robin Swicord was The Perez Family which she executive produced, and which starred Marisa Tomei and Anjelica Huston. At Industry Chasman also produce Polish Wedding with Claire Danes, Lena Olin and Gabriel Byrne, and executive produced Ted Witcher's Lovejones starring Larenz Tate and Nia Long.
