Biography

DIMITRA ARLISS has appeared in the films Bless The Child, It’s My Party, Eleni, Firefox, A Perfect Couple, Xanadu and The Other Side of Midnight. She made her feature film debut as Loretta Salino in the Academy Award®-winning film The Sting, with Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

The actress’s television credits include miniseries and movies-of-the-week such as Bella Mafia, Onassis: The Richest Man in the World, Murder in Texas, The Guyana Tragedy and The Fall of the House of Usher. Over the years she has been seen on such classic series as Dallas, Quincy, Rich Man, Poor Man, Kojak, Mary Hartman and Civil Wars as well as the daytime drama General Hospital.

Arliss has performed extensively on the stage in roles ranging from the New York productions of Arms and the Man as Catherine Petkoff to Helen of Troy in The Trojan Women. She made her Broadway debut creating the role of Teskanjavila in the American premiere of Arthur Kopit’s Indians.

In addition to her acting career, she has also taught acting at the Los Angeles Theatre Center and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institutes, both in New York and London.
