Biography

JEANNINE OPPEWALL is a two-time Academy Award® nominee, for "Pleasantville" and "L.A. Confidential." She received an M.A. in medieval studies at Bryn Mawr and began her career as a curator and researcher for designer Charles Eames.

Her first job on a feature film was as a gofer on the set of "Blue Collar." Soon she began working for production designer Paul Sylbert on such films as "Hard Core," "Blowout" and "Resurrection." Her first film as a production designer was "Tender Mercies" in 1981, followed by such films as "Maria's Lovers," "The Big Easy," "Ironweed," "Radio Days," "The Music Box," "School Ties," "The Vanishing," "Losing Isaiah," "The Bridges of Madison County," "Primal Fear" and "Snow Falling on Cedars."
