Biography

FRANKIE R. FAISON has appeared in Where the Money Is starring Paul Newman and the comedy Down to Earth with Chris Rock. He has also appeared in The Rich Man’s Wife and the adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s Mother Night starring Nick Nolte. He worked with Nolte again in I Love Trouble starring Julia Roberts.

Faison has appeared in the features Sommersby, Albino Alligator, The Stupids, Roommates, Freejack, The Silence of the Lambs, Mississippi Burning, Do the Right Thing, Coming to America, The Money Pit, Hanky Panky, Cat People, City of Hope, The Chosen and Ragtime.

On television, Faison has appeared as a regular on the series True Colors, the ABC series Prey and the NBC series Hot Hero Sandwich as well as guest-starring in Law & Order and Oz along with numerous other episodic programs.

Born in Newport News, Virginia, Faison studied drama at Illinois Wesleyan University
before beginning his professional career. In addition to his film and television appearances,
Faison earned a Tony nomination for Best Supporting Actor and a Drama Desk nomination for "Fences." He has also appeared on Broadway in "Getting Away with Murder," the Brooks Atkinson Theatre production of "Of Mice and Men," the Circle in the Square revival of "The Iceman Cometh," and "The Shadow Box" among others.
