James Jacks - Details

Biography

James Jacks was excecutive producer of the Coen Brothers' cult film Raising Arizona (1987) before joining Universal Pictures as vice president of acquisitions. During his five years there, Jack was involved in making such films as Field Of Dreams (1989), Do The Right Thing (1989), Darkman (1990), Jungle Fever (1991) and American Me (1992)

After rising to the postion of senior vice presiden of production. Jacks left Universal in 1992 to form a partnership with Sean Daniel. They founded Alphaville, one of America's most successful independent production companies.
