Biography

Jennifer ConnellyJennifer Connelly made her film debut at the age of eleven in Sergio Leone's gangster epic Once Upon a Time in America (1984). Fulfilling her early promise, she has matured into a graceful and strikingly intelligent actress.

Connelly most recently starred opposite Billy Crudup in Keith Gordon's Waking Ned (1998) Following Requiem for a Dream (2000), Connelly will be seen in Pollock, directed by and starring Ed Harris as the legendary artist Jackson Pollock. She is also a star of Darren Star's upcoming television series "The Street."

Over the course of her career, Connelly has played a diverse variety of roles. In Inventing the Abbotts (1997), she starred opposite Billy Crudup as a fun-loving, free-spirited young girl in a 1950s family, while in Mulholland Falls she portrayed a femme fatale of the same era. She portrayed a feminist coed in John Singleton's Higher Learning (1995) and a South American journalist in Of Love and Shadows (1994)

Additional credits include the Disney's 1930s family action-adventure Rocketeer, The (1991) ; the comedy Career Opportunities (1991); the love story Seven Minutes in Heaven (1985); and Jim Henson's elaborate fantasy-adventure Labyrinth (1986), in which she starred opposite David Bowie and a crew of Muppets.
