Biography

STEVE KLOVES began his career with the screenplay for the 1984 Jaffe-Lansing production "Racing With the Moon," a World War II-era coming-of-age story directed by Richard Benjamin, which starred Sean Penn, Elizabeth McGovern and, in one of his important early roles, Nicolas Cage. In 1989, Kloves made his bow as a writer-director with the highly praised comedy-drama "The Fabulous Baker Boys," which starred Jeff Bridges, Beau Bridges and Michelle Pfeiffer. The film received four Academy Award® nominations, and Michelle Pfeiffer won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for her performance.
