Corenblith received an Academy Awardâ nomination and won the British Academy Award (BAFTA) for his work on Apollo 13.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Corenblith studied design at UCLA, and entered the entertainment industry as a lighting designer for television before moving to art direction, winning an Emmy Award in 1983 for his work on the Academy Awards show.
Corenblith began his work on feature films as key set designer on Paul Mazursky’s 1984 comedy, Down and Out in Beverly Hills
