Screenwriter LARRY GELBART is one of the foremost and most honored comedy writers in the U.S. His career spans six decades, encompassing radio, stage, television and motion pictures. Gelbart is perhaps best known for turning Robert Altman's 1970 black comedy MASH (1970) into a highly successful television series, which garnered him numerous awards, including two Emmys, a Humanitas Award and a Peabody Award.
His many other notable credits include the HBO telefilms "Barbarians at the Gate" and "Weapons of Mass Destruction," and Showtime's "Mastergate," based on his play.
