Turner's Cartoon Network Wednesday claimed a primetime victory among commercial cable channels for the first week of October, its first-ever win during the month.

It also tied for third place in total-day ratings. Ratings were up 12 percent overall over the comparable week a year ago, with a 45-percent increase in children 6-11.
