After Michelle MacLaren dropped out of the “Wonder Woman” movie as director, sources tell Variety that Patty Jenkins has been tapped to take over the job.
MacLaren left the project earlier this week due to creative differences with the studio. Sources say her departure was only a minor speed bump, and production is still set to begin in the fall as originally planned.
Gal Gadot is still attached to star as the Amazon princess-turned-superhero, who plays a major part in the Justice League.
Jenkins was the first choice to direct another big comicbook film, “Thor: The Dark World,” but eventually left the project, also because of creative differences, with Marvel finally securing Alan Taylor for the gig.
