Ryan Reynolds has turned to social media to campaign for his upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation Deadpool to receive an R rating in the US.
Such a rating would restrict children under the age of 17 from seeing Deadpool without a parent or adult guardian.
Deadpool's predecessor received a lower rating of PG-13, but Reynolds has now taken his efforts for more mature content to Twitter.
"I want #Deadpool to be R. Always have. Fighting the good fight still. Lotta yelling today," he wrote in response to a fan question about the rating.
Reynolds has engaged his followers on social media throughout the development process for Deadpool.
The actor credited his fans with convincing studio 20th Century Fox to greenlight the movie earlier in the year. Last week, he used his Twitter account to unveil a provocative first photograph of his Deadpool costume.
