DiCaprio: No idea if I'll win Oscar.

Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed he isn't buying into the Oscar hype surrounding his performance in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

The Hollywood star has yet to win an Academy Award - despite three previous nominations - but is tipped to be a frontrunner for the statuette at the ceremony next year.

However, the 39-year-old admitted he doesn't pay too much attention to the speculation.

"I realised long ago you can't control what people think is worthy of an award. That's so beyond your control. It's something one shouldn't even attempt to manipulate, because, if you do, that's transparent," he said.

"I have no idea how I will get on, I really don't."

Wolf of Wall Street, The (2013) sees Leonardo play stockbroker Jordan Belfort and follows his fast-dealing ways in the 1990s through the halls of Wall Street, which eventually led to him serving time in jail for offences related to stock market manipulation.

Martin Scorsese's movie - which also stars Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie, Joanna Lumley and Jon Favreau - is due to be released in the UK in January.
