JACK NICHOLSON is in the running to play the devil in the fourth instalment of THE EXORCIST.
Movie bosses are so surprised with the success of the re-issued version of THE EXORCIST, they're planning to update the story. Studio bosses want to focus on the daughter of LINDA BLAIR's character REGAN, who finds she's possessed by the devil just likeher mum.
RUSSELL CROWE is tipped to play the priest who performs the exorcism. (KL/TS/RGS)
