Hollywood hunk RICHARD GERE and actress FARRAH FAWCETT avoided each other at the premiere of DR. T & THE WOMEN, in which they co star.
At the NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY party for the ROBERT ALTMAN flick on Tuesday (10OCT00), onlooker were stunned when Gere, wife CAREY LOWELL and a posse of publicists, handlers and security guards sat at a table to the far right of the back bar while Fawcett and her flock were seated at the far-left table.
Sources say Gere didn't get along with his co-star during the
filming of the movie and the pair posed for only one quick picture
together at the pre-party screening at the ZIEGFELD.
Meanwhile, Fawcett dished out her own snapshot snub when she twice refused to pose with Dr. T co-star CHERYL LADD, who replaced her on TV's "Charlie's Angels" in 1977.
Gere's representative insists that the movie star is on good
terms with Fawcett, and says the rift claims are "ridiculous".
