Former supermodel LINDA EVANGELISTA's camp is blowing the whistle on rumours that the former supermodel has dumped her soccer star boyfriend, FABIEN BARTHEZ, and that she's seriously ill.

France's VOICI magazine is claiming that Evangelista has ended her on-and-off two-year affair with Barthez. The mag says she's fed up with living in a hotel in the unglamourous English city of Manchester, where Barthez plays. The mag also contended that Evangelista was still depressed after suffering a miscarriage and that "it was impossible for Fabien to draw her out of her misery."

Barthez has declined to comment, but Evangelista's spokesman, DIDIER FERNANDEZ, tells us the couple "is doing great. She loves soccer. She's adapting to Manchester." Didier also scoffs at stubborn gossip that Evangelista has been missing from the runways because of a mystery illness. "I've heard she has cancer _ everything," says Fernandez. "She doesn't have anything. She's happy and healthy." As for talk that the Canadian beauty is no longer at peak weight and will never model again, Fernandez says, "She is in a rest period after 15 years work. She has not retired." (PDD/WNWCDN)
