Mia Wasikowska is reportedly in talks to replace Emma Stone in Guillermo del Toro's horror Crimson Peak.
The Stoker star is lining up her next big role, following Emma's departure in May, reported The Wrap.
Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlie Hunnam are also starring in the haunted house thriller.
Mia would play a young author named Edith Cushing, who discovers that her charismatic new husband is actually not who he appears to be, with Benedict and Jessica starring as aristocratic siblings.
Crimson Peak is expected to start shooting in early 2014.
Guillermo has described the film as a "throwback" to horrors such as The Haunting, The Shining and The Innocents.
