Kate Winslet is expecting a baby with husband Ned Rocknroll, it's been confirmed.

“Kate and Ned are delighted. The baby is due at the end of the year,” said a spokesperson for the pair.

The 37-year-old actress married Rocknroll, the nephew of Sir Richard Branson, six months ago, following previous marriages to director Jim Threapleton and 'Skyfall' helmsman Sam Mendes.

She has two children from the previous relationships.

Winslet began seeing Rocknroll, the 34-year-old businessman originally called Ned Abel Smith (he changed his name by deed poll in 2008), after she helped Branson's mother Eve to safety following a fire at Branson's retreat Necker Island.

They married in December last year, with her 'Titanic' co-star Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly giving her away at the ceremony in New York.
