British media tycoon Richard Branson is hoping to breathe new life into his country's national lottery by combining it with a glitzy TV show that would compete with the British version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the London Daily Express reported today (Tuesday).
Under Branson's plan, lottery card buyers would be given the chance to compete in televised contests based on luck or skill for a jackpot worth $1.5 million.
