Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are to host the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, NBC has announced. The 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation stars will preside over the ceremony on Sunday, January 13.
The duo take over presenting duties from Ricky Gervais, who has helmed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association event for the past three years. "Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup," said NBC's president of alternative programming Paul Telegdy. "Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama (2008)."
Fey, who presented an award at this year's Oscars, recently signed a new deal to develop shows for NBC following the conclusion of 30 Rock, which wraps up at the end of its current season.
Meanwhile, Poehler, who announced her split from comedy actor Will Arnett last month, can currently be seen in Parks and Recreation's fifth season on the same network.
