Robert Pattinson is believed to have been so committed to Kristen Stewart he was about to ask her to marry him to just before the news broke she had cheated on him.

A friend of the Twilight actor says: "Robert hoped to marry Kristen and was making preparations to spring a proposal before she admitted cheating."

Robert is now said to be devastated and has moved out of the Hollywood home they shared together.

The source says: "Now Rob is angry, he's left the mansion and not spoken to her since. They have exchanged heated text messages only."

For those who have been living under a Twilight duvet cover for the past week, it emerged on Monday that Kristen cheated on Rob twice with married director Rupert Sanders.

Who just happened to be married to Kristen's former costar Liberty Ross, who previously said Kristen was 'transfixing'. Awkward.

Everyone was unsure how true the claims were until the world seemed to actually explode when Kristen released a statement admitting it and then apologizing, saying 'I love him, I love him, I'm sorry'.
