British gay pretty boy actor RUPERT EVERETT is being bothered by meddlesome tourists in his West Village neighbourhood.

On Thursday night (5OC00), one group of visitors was walking by Mary's on Bedford Street when they saw a black labrador without a lead. Concerned that the dog might wander into traffic, they grabbed his collar and walked down Bedford, asking if anyone knew who he belonged to.

Finally a man stormed up, shooting them dirty looks. He turned out to be the MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING star. One of the tourists reveals, "We asked him, `Is this your dog?'
