The cartoonish British comedy show Mr. Bean, starring Rowan Atkinson, will be transformed into an animated series, with Atkinson providing the character's voice, the London Daily Express reported today (Monday).
The newspaper said that the show's original production company, Tiger Aspect, will oversee the $15-million project, and that Robin Driscoll, its original writer, will script the cartoons, which presumably will be targeted at adults. Peter Bennett-Jones, chairman of Tiger Aspect, said in an interview with the Express that "there's still a huge worldwide appetite for Bean."
